Value Beyond Construction

Chophouse

“Thank you to everyone at Girvan Waugh for the quality of workmanship that was employed at Chophouse and for the manner in which the work was completed while the Restaurant was operating.”

Project Overview

$150,00 budget

The Chophouse had an under-utilised mezzanine area that had a seating capacity of only 14. The objective was to take full advantage of the space, creating an area
that could be used as a cavary or a private function room.

Challenges

There was a window of only 2 weeks to complete
the job whilst working over the top of a fully
functioning restaurant.
Multiple in house specialised trades were project
managed within the short lead time available.

Success Factors

The restaurant opened on time, fully trading on the promised date. Girvan Waugh was able to successfully support the structural ceiling without comprising the space below. The client was able to increase the amount of patrons from 14 - 40.

Value Added

The client was able to allow bookings for up to 26 more patrons than what the space was previously capable of, therefore increasing revenue dramatically. Where possible Girvan Waugh reused finishes to minimise costs & maintain a consistency between the new & previous layout.
