Project Overview
The first Jamies Italian Restaurant was a joint design and construction venture with Pacific Restaurant Group and Peck Von Hartel Architects.
Successfully completed and opened in October 2011 the restaurant combined many unusual finishes to create a unique dining experience.
Challeges
The long and narrow site presented many challenges for both the architect and builder. In the areas of structural and base building services, there were no as built for fitout, which meant that careful planning was essential.
Every finish and detail was including samples of materials was sent to he UK for sign off by Jamie himself.
Success Factors
The restaurant was handed over for the opening as per programme.
Value Added
Girvan Waugh Pty Ltd worked with the Architect and client to source trades and finishes that reduced costs and programme.
A controlled demolition at the out set meant the Architect had a clear and accurate detail of the site on which to design the restaurant.
Multiple external preferred trades and suppliers, not engaged by the builder were worked seamlessly into the programme.
