Once a property was settled upon (L6 Airport Central) Girvan Waugh then facilitated the new head office refurbishment utilising as much of the space, floor plan and existing resources as possible to control budget.

$1,000,000 budget
A feasibility, design & construction project to level 6 at Airport Central for the relocation of the clients head office from Flemington. Within the space more offices, amenities and IT facilities were added.
Challenges
The work were to a sub leased space which created many BCA, inter tenancy and owner issues. An additional 8 offices, boardroom, conference room, shower & toilet facility, commercial kitchen, new raised IT room including a full upgrade of data cable to Cat 6 and new reception all had to be incorporated into the existing space. The shape of the building was unusual. Light, aspect and curved perimeter wall had to be worked into the design. An optimal result was achieved.
Success factors
The refurbishment included new toilet facilities boardroom, meeting rooms, kitchen and 8 additional offices.
Value Added
A facility was created that utilised existing workstation, furniture and office layout where possible. This helped to reduce fit out costs and made resources available to be invested in other areas.
