Complete knockdown of the existing toilet amenities block and complete new build plus landscaping to surrounding area.
Challenges
The Project was to be built whilst children were attending school temporary facilities were installed for the duration of the project. Asbestos contaminated soil was found in the foundation of the footings to the old toilet block during demolition. Inclement weather.
Success Factors
The project was completed ahead of a schedule.
Value Added
The additional asphalting & landscaping works completed by Girvan Waugh maximises the available space for the children to play & complete activities. The new facilities utilises the reuse of rain water to feed the toilet cisterns in order to conserve water.
