On Friday 21 October, a group of brave Girvan Waugh staff abseiled down a 33 storey building in the city as part of the Investa Abseil for Youth 2016 event. bJames Munro, Scott Drummond, Nick Kaspareck, Michael Girvan, Aaron Bates and Trudi Davies all took part in the event with some enjoying it more than others!

Abseil for Youth supports the Sir David Martin Foundation, a non-profit organisation created in 1990 by the late Governor of NSW, dedicated to helping young people in crisis.

The charity funds programs to support young people suffering from problems such as substance addiction, homelessness, mental illness, disengagement from society, abuse, unemployment and family breakdown. These programs provide treatment and support for these issues, as well as, assisting young people in their return to education and training to find pathways to employment and a healthy, productive life.

Thanks to the generous donations from friends, families and our clients and subcontractors, Girvan Waugh raised over $5,500 which has contributed to the event total of over $234,000.
